Testimonial

Chris at Wild Bunch Western Art, puts as much craftsmanship into his furniture as we do into our custom rifle. In this day and age when everything is machine built and carbon copied, Chris is making true one of a kind furniture that anyone would be proud to own. Keep up the good work.

Wild Bunch Western Art was started by Artist, Chris Carlson. He and his family every year hangout in their hideout near the "Hole In The Wall" as the season permits, harvesting materials for each custom crafted furniture piece. The Hole In The Wall is known as the secret hideout to the famous "Butch Cassidy", who organized a group of outlaws known as the "Wild Bunch", which included the "Sundance Kid".

The Wild Bunch were horse thief's, cattle rustlers, bank robbers and train robbers. In 1901, Cassidy and Sundance, with girlfriend Etta Place, fled to New York City and then Argentina. After several years of ranching in Argentina, Cassidy and the Kid continued their outlaw ways, robbing banks in South American countries, including Argentina and Bolivia.

Each piece of furniture is branded using the Cattle RUSTLERS favorite tool, a Running Iron. A Running Iron which had a hooked tip that could be used to change or make any brand quickly was a handy tool for the rustlers. If rustlers were caught by a vigilante group with a Running Iron in one's possession this could mean certain death by hanging.

Materials for each furniture piece is collected from this historical part of Wyoming. No two pieces will be the same. Each piece has it's own unique rustic appearance. The wood is carefully selected for use by its size, shape and usability of the material. Items found such as horseshoes, barb wire and bullet casings are also used to add a final touch of the Great American West.

Each furniture piece is custom hand crafted and assembled with quality rugged craftsmanship. There are no nails or screws used. Each item is built so sturdy that you can even feel the weight (literally). A hand rubbed finish completes the beauty. Chris takes extra precautions to keep the wood from splitting. (For more information on how to care for your new piece of furniture, be sure to contact Chris.)
